Kelowna's housing runs from 1970s and 80s Rutland and Glenmore bungalows and split-levels, where we usually find original lino or worn hardwood over a subfloor that needs levelling, to 1990s and 2000s Mission and Dilworth two-storeys with carpet upstairs, to new builds in Wilden, Kettle Valley and Black Mountain where the builder-grade floor is the first thing owners upgrade. Downtown and Pandosy condos add strata sound requirements, so we spec IIC-rated underlay as a matter of course.

Summers here sit above 30°C with very low humidity and winters are cold and dry. Wood floors need a proper 48 to 72 hour acclimation in the room they're going into, and we aim for 35 to 50 percent indoor humidity in our care instructions. Big lake-facing windows mean UV fade is real, and wildfire-smoke seasons favour sealed floors that wipe clean.

Our showroom is on McCurdy Place beside the airport corridor, ten minutes from most of Kelowna, so samples reach you the same day and most in-stock orders are installed within the week.

How we do carpet tile install in Kelowna
