Flooring in Dilworth Mountain

1990s executive homes with big open plans, five minutes from the showroom.

The homes in Dilworth Mountain

Dilworth Mountain was developed mainly in the 1990s: larger executive homes with vaulted ceilings, open main floors and city or lake views. Thirty years on, the original oak, tile and carpet are being replaced with wider planks, larger tile and updated colours. Open plans mean big continuous runs of one floor, which makes product choice and transitions matter.

Dilworth is directly across Highway 97 from our showroom, five to ten minutes door to door. It's one of the easiest neighbourhoods for a same-day sample drop.

Jobs we do most in Dilworth Mountain

  • Wide-plank engineered hardwood through an open main floor and hallway
  • Replacing 1990s ceramic with large-format porcelain in a kitchen
  • New carpet in bedrooms and on a wide staircase
  • Vinyl plank in a finished lower level

Floors that suit Dilworth Mountain

  • Engineered hardwood

Long continuous runs across open plans look best in wide planks; engineered handles the dry air.

  • Tile

Large-format porcelain to replace dated 1990s ceramic in kitchens and entries.

  • Carpet

Dilworth Mountain flooring questions

Can you run one floor through the whole main level without transitions?+
Usually, yes. Engineered hardwood and rigid-core vinyl both allow long continuous runs; we'll tell you at the estimate where an expansion break is needed and how to hide it.
Is removing 1990s tile expensive?+
It's labour, and we price it as a line item. In some rooms a floating floor can go over the tile instead, which saves the removal.
How close is the showroom?+
Five to ten minutes. Bring a photo of your room and we'll pull samples while you're there.
